According to Regulation 1101, all workplaces in Ontario covered by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act (WSIA) must provide first aid training to their employees.

Basic one-day course offering lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.
Audience: Workplaces with five or fewer people working on any one shift, Security Officers, Parks & Rec Personnel Class Format: BLENDED (3-4 hr Online Course + a 6-hr In-Person Skills Practice Class) Certification Included: Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid + CPR/AED (Valid for 3 Years) Re-Certification Option: Not Applicable, Regular course must be completed Certification Requirements: 100% attendance, participation, demonstration of skills; 75% min. passing grade on a written, closed book knowledge evaluation Content:

Comprehensive course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home.
Audience: Workplaces with six or more people working on any shift, ECE / Child Care, General PSWs, Social Workers Class Format: IN-CLASS (2 Days), or (BLENDED: 6-hr self-paced Online Course + 7-hr in-person Skills Practice class) Online course is self-paced. Participants may leave the course at any time and can resume where they left off. The duration will vary depending on the individual learner and their prior knowledge of the subject matter. Certification Included: Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid + CPR/AED (Valid for 3 Years) Re-Certification Option: Available as a 7-hr in-person Skills Practice class Certification Requirements: 100% attendance, participation, demonstration of skills; 75% min. passing grade on a written, closed book knowledge evaluation Content:

Learners will come away with coping strategies to prevent, identify and deal with stressful events, and they will better understand what supports are available to them and how they can access or help others to access specialized support.

Note for Course Participants While mental health first aid programs teach how to help someone experiencing a mental health emergency, Red Cross Psychological First Aid is a resiliency-based program for everyone that offers prevention and coping strategies for dealing with different types of stress resulting from various types of trauma. Audience: Course is adaptable to all audiences (Youth, Workplace, Professional Responder) Class Format: Online Course: 45 to 90 minutes Online course is self-paced. Participants may leave the course at any time and can resume where they left off. The duration will vary depending on the individual learner and their prior knowledge of the subject matter.
